Surf: Flat. Occasionaly 2ft waves.
I tried to sneak in a Dawn Patrol before the new swell hits. 6:45 I was standing on the beach in almost complete darkness trying to make out the shape of a wave on the horizon.
There were none.
It was flat.
I waited for Luke thinking he’d want to try further north, but he was willing to give the next to nothing waves a go.
It was a nice sunrise. Now I just have to figure out how to pull all this off without showing up an hour late to work.
Cripes! How cold was it sitting there before the sun came up?
Below 50 for sure. Warmer than it’s been. I was on the beach in a peacoat, sweatshirt, rashie, longpants, fuzzy socks and mittens.
Last week dawn patrol was in the high 30’s here and mid 20’s in Marin! Yikes!!! I had the luxury of free weekdays so I waited till it got over 45 before I went out those days. Brr.
